Knowledge Empowers was created by PCaSO ‘Prostate Cancer Support Organisation’ which was formed in 2002 from PSASolent.
During the last 18 years it has become one of the largest such groups in the country. They cover Sussex, Hampshire and Dorset, though they have a number of members throughout the UK. It is run entirely by volunteers who, with their families, have been affected by this cancer.
They decided, along with some very eminent medical professionals to create a document to help prostate cancer patients understand diagnosis and the treatments that are available.

I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer a few years ago and in addition I had stress from having to travel from Manchester to London regularly to look after my elderly mother.
I was finding it hard going and mentioned it to Steve who suggested I join his regular meeting of Mentell group members.
I found it very helpful and you can listen to my story by clicking this link.
